Prior to founding Mazzaroth in 2013, Michael worked for nearly a decade on Wall Street, during which time he traded credit and derivatives portfolios of several hundred million dollars and transacted with large hedge funds, asset managers, and sovereign wealth funds across three continents. During his tenure at Barclays, he managed currency and non-USD rates risk hedging for the desk-wide multi-billion dollar CDS flow book, and worked closely with the North American Head of Credit Derivatives to create specialized risk simulation analytics during the time frame leading up to the Lehman bankruptcy. Michael also led electronic trading initiatives at multiple investment banks, beginning at Jefferies in 2009, where analytics protocols he developed led to significant and quantifiable increases in volumes, margins, and client service ratings across all major corporate and municipal bond ATS/ECN platforms. More recently, Michael was an Executive Director in the Credit Opportunities Group at PrinceRidge Group, LLC, a boutique investment bank based in New York. He holds dual MBAs from Columbia University and London Business School and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a concentration in Global Energy Management from the University of Houston.
